Take your plant outdoors

The weather is clearing up, so let’s get outside! Once you found a perfect spot in the garden to relax, out of the wind and in the middle of the sun, then consider that your plants might actually would love to accompany you.

This will not only be an enormous treat for your plants, it will also bring your customer’s outdoor living space to life.

Many indoor plants can also go outdoors once the spring approaches. But pay attention that the temperature difference isn’t too big, otherwise they will go into a temperature shock, since they are used to a steady indoor temperature. Once the temperature at night drops below 10 degrees your houseplants need to go back inside. So check on them regularly if they still enjoy being outside, like when the leaves are turning brown, you might need to consider bringing them back indoors.

The Fatsia japonica for instance, can be held indoors, but sure loves stand outside in a shady spot. It will add an exotic touch to the garden. Just like the Strelitzia, however be careful when the sun is too bright, this will burn holes in its beautiful leaves. Additionally, pay attention that they get enough water during his outdoor experience.

Rather go for a dessert-look? Choose the Euphorbia Erytrea; tall and dramatic in its appearance due its sharp spines. Usually grown as a houseplant, but can occasionally join you outdoors. He will sure be a wonderful accent to your garden during a hot summer night. Or the Aloe vera, also sensitive to chilling temperatures, but will love a tanning session. Besides, this plant holds up well outside, since he stores water in its leaves.

Another plant species that loves to go on a trip outside are Yuccas. Once the temperature reaches 20 degrees, move them into a warm and sunny place outdoors. They hate humidity, that’s why it is wise to take them indoors when wet weather is acting up.

This journey outdoor will feel like a vacation for your customers and their plant roomies! A simple way to make your plant stronger and healthier due the outdoor air and continuous air circulation.
