Pumpkin season with florist Tiffany

When you think of autumn, you think of pumpkins. Inspired by these colourful fruits, florist Tiffany van Lenten rolled up her sleeves to create a decorative autumn arrangement.

This young Dutch creator likes to think outside the box when it comes to her designs and she experiments by using new or less common materials as the base for her work. For this creation she also used pumpkins in an original way, combining them with flowers to craft a unique piece.

"I often see florists hollowing out an entire pumpkin and then filling it with a beautiful floral arrangement. But this is quite a lot of work, so I thought of a simpler and faster method. I came up with the idea of drilling holes in the pumpkins with a circular drill and then inserting tubes with the same thickness into these holes. Super easy!"

"I always divide the tubes all over the pumpkin, to create a playful effect. Another advantage of the tubes is that the holes are airtight, making the pumpkin much less likely to rot, than if you hollow it out."

Bring the autumn spirit to your shop with this pumpkin creation. Put several pumpkins in different sizes and colours together on a tray. Drill some holes, insert tubes and fill them with autumn flowers. This is not only a fun addition to your shop, it is also an inspiration for customers to create this themselves.
