A classic or a colourful Christmas tree?

What would Christmas be without a Christmas tree? Nothing! What kind of tree will you put up in your shop this year? Are you going for the traditional fir tree decorated with baubles, or will you take a completely different approach with a colourful eye-catcher?

The pine tree is, of course, a real classic; it's impossible to imagine Christmas without it. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that 'Oh Christmas tree" has been an excellent song to get into the Christmas spirit for years.

Decorations will be over the top again this year! We will see baubles in the shape of cupcakes, candy canes and ice creams, but baubles with a leopard print will also adorn some Christmas trees. For those who are looking for something different this year, dried flowers offer a colourful, but natural touch. Or how about peacock feathers for a luxurious look?

If you are not overly keen on the green classic anymore, why not try an original approach this year, with new Christmassy elements to create your own unique tree. It's all about volume: fuller is better! Think of gypsophila in Christmas red, combined with warm camel, and set it off against a pink background for an even more dramatic effect. Or make things even more colourful with a Christmas tree made of pampas grass – this fluffy specimen is a real eye-catcher. Let's get creative, because this year, there is no such thing as too outrageous!
