Cheerful lilacs

For centuries, lilacs have been loved by many, both for their beautiful appearance and their sweet scent. These cheerful bloomers require little maintenance and can live to be a hundred years old. Ideal for your customers without green fingers, who don't want to replant their garden every year.

Symphonic shrub
The Greek name 'syrinx', which means 'pipe', refers to the hollow stems of this shrub. The wood was used in the past to make flutes. Lilac wood is ideal for making musical instruments, because it is very hard and has a high density. Due to the interplay of colours in the wood, ranging from brown to purple, it produces musical showpieces.

Fragrant spring blooms
Bees, butterflies and even hummingbirds are attracted to the sweet nectar of the lilacs flowers. But not only pollinators are attracted to the scent, it also has great appeal to humans. Its fruity, sweet aroma is therefore often used in perfumes, giving it a floral note.
