5 houseplants that love being outdoors
The outdoor season is in full swing. But in all this outdoor enjoyment, consumers can easily forget about their houseplants, while some of our green friends actually enjoy being outside in the warmer months.
The benefits
For instance, a refreshing rain shower will wash away any dust that might be on the leaves. The plant also gets a boost from the outdoor environment, which offers more light, better air circulation and the ideal humidity, compared to the often inferior conditions indoors. This makes the plant stronger and more resistant to diseases and pests. But beware, not all plants can stay outdoors. Therefore, here we have a list of plants that do benefit from a summer holiday in the open air.

Crassula
The fascinating growth patterns of the various Crassula species will never fail to captivate. From coral-like shapes to geometric forms, we could spend hours admiring this plant. Crassula loves the full afternoon sun, but consumers should note that these plants need watering a bit more frequently in such conditions.
Cactus
When you think of warmth and tropical, you think of the cactus. Placing this plant outside instantly turns up the summer feeling! Beware though, this plant needs some time to adjust to the full sun, so advice your customer to let their plant acclimatize for a week in the shade before moving it into direct sunlight.

Cyperus
This marsh plant likes to keep its feet wet, so even during a rainy summer, the Cyperus has a great time outside. A pondside is also a great place for this plant, which will reward your customer with cheerful umbrellas-like tufts. And the best thing is, this will only increase the air-purifying effect of this plant.
Kalanchoe
Shoppers looking for a plant with a bright burst of colour will find exactly what they need in the Kalanchoë. This plant can bloom for up to 12 weeks! Outdoors, its flowering display becomes even more impressive than indoors. With the right plant food, you can also extend the flowering period by a few weeks.
