From their nursery in Hazerswoude-Dorp, this grower has therefore been dedicated for 35 years to cultivating high-quality garden plants that make outdoor spaces greener and more vibrant.
Hoogeveen Plants grows a range of plants for gardens, patios and balconies. This selection is carefully curated and offers a suitable solution for every outdoor space. Their range is very extensive and includes climbing and edible plants, as well as grasses and Helleborus. This grower?s main focus is making greenery accessible to everyone. Because besides being beautiful, a green environment also has a positive impact on people, animals and the climate.
Sustainability and innovation are key
At Hoogeveen Plants, they continuously invest in sustainability through innovative and environmentally friendly solutions. They have set themselves an ambitious goal: fully climate-neutral production before 2030. To achieve this, concrete steps are taken daily.
For instance, they focus on biological pest control, such as ladybirds and parasitic wasps. This reduces the use of chemical pesticides and allows them to work in harmony with nature as much as possible.
In addition, they use alternative raw materials such as wood fibres, compost and organic waste streams. This grower also uses solar panels, heat pumps and other sustainable energy solutions to reduce their ecological footprint. Rainwater is collected and reused, and the pots and trays in which plants are delivered are made from 100% recycled plastic. All these measures contribute to a more circular horticultural supply chain.

New arrivals
Hoogeveen Plants is constantly working on improving its assortment. This year, for example, they have added no fewer than seven new Clematis varieties, from the soft pink ?Ithemba? to the deep violet ?Lindsay?. In addition, the Hosta ?Party Streamers?, the Lomandra ?Miners Gold? and the Pennisetum ?Tiny Tails? have also been available since this year. Next year, they will be adding the Agapanthus ?Poppin Pink? to their range, amongst others. As new knowledge is constantly being gained, products continue to develop, and with them this grower?s assortment. This ultimately ensures the best plant for the consumer?s home.
