Serene Craftmanship

The world we live in is changing rapidly, sometimes faster than we even realise. Amidst all this innovation, there is a growing desire for the old and familiar, because it feels safe and familiar.

This longing for traditional is reflected in the plants and flowers that people choose.

Flowers and plants

Nostalgic flowers, such as cheerful tulips and classic roses, are popular choices. Stems with lush clusters of flowers are also a regular sight at the start of the new year. They evoke memories of simpler times and are a must-have in this year's spring range.

Houseplants that are set to dominate as spring approaches often feature large, dark leaves. Varieties with striking patterns or unique shapes are very popular. Think, for example, of the Calathea with its beautiful markings and double-sided leaves. But also the Alocasia, which is robust and full of character.

Colours and decoration
Colours that align with this trend range from fresh green to deep blue-purple, with subtle accents of soft pink. These colour combinations bring harmony and tranquillity. In decorations, we see a lot of natural materials and warm wood tones, such as brown, beige and sand. These earthy shades reinforce the sense of craftsmanship and authenticity.

The garden also plays a role in this quest for simplicity and nature. Stone, wood and other pure materials take centre stage in designs. And the plants? They should be easy to care for and low-maintenance. We let nature take its course and give it the freedom we sometimes seem to lack in our daily lives. Then nature will flourish again, and who knows, perhaps we will too.
