Karma Plants – Enchanting glitter for the whole year
The year 2023 has come to an end and Karma Plants is ready to surprise us with something new. We always see a lot of glitter during the festive month of December, but why couldn't we experience this all year round? With the latest addition to the Karma Plants range, you can enjoy glitz and glamour all year round, just like in December!
This special plant, called 'KARMA Crystals', an Anthurium crystallinum, made a beautiful entrance to the market last month during the Flora Holland Tradefair in Aalsmeer and even came second in the Glass Tulip Awards. Maurice, one of the growers at Karma Plants, says that the special thing about this plant is that each specimen is unique and that the countless glitters on the veins and under the leaves make it a special appearance. The leaves can also grow beautifully large. Maurice and his father have worked for more than 7 years on breeding these crystallinums. They are pleasantly surprised that their efforts have not only led to a podium for their plants on the market, but also to great recognition.
Karma Plants is also committed to sustainability. They have been CO2 neutral for several years and will go one step further in 2024 by marketing all plants peat-free. With the help of the WaterWick, they have undergone a step-by-step plan over the past 3 years to further reduce peat use, without any loss of quality. The wick replaces the property of peat to retain moisture and ensures that the plants have healthier roots.
