Bees are about to extinct and the consequences are much worse than many of us realize. Bees are responsible for the pollination of 80% of our vegetables, fruits, nuts and herbs. This simply means: no bees, no healthy nutrition. Sounds harsh, but unfortunately it’s true. That’s why ‘Honey Highway’ has been initiated and of course we wanted to support this great project!

When it comes to sustainability, we’re seeing a lot of big developments in the land of orchids. During the Orchid Inspiration Days, we saw our LESS PLASTIC concept adapted by growers who are now also working with sustainable trays and covers. We couldn’t be more excited about this- together, this how we’ll build a more sustainable floriculture industry.
Just like Noviflora, Ovata has a strong focus on sustainability. Their green efforts show clearly in the environmentally-friendly way in which the succulents are grown (MPS-A) and the sustainable packaging. The seed starter pots are made from 100% recycled materials and the tray is made from fully recyclable FSC-certified cardboard. These succulents are all about sustainability!
The filters at our webshop now include ones for 'Less Plastic' and 'Eco-friendly' to make it even easier to search for products with these specific characteristics.
